Oceola Township (Township of Oceola)
Oceola Township is a civil township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census the population was 11,936, up from 8,362 at the 2000 census.
The township is in central Livingston County and is bordered to the southwest by the city of Howell, the county seat. State highway M-59 crosses the township, leading east 30 mi to Pontiac and west 7 mi to its terminus at Interstate 96 west of Howell.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Oceola Township has a total area of 95.2 km2, of which 93.6 km2 are land and 1.6 km2, or 1.73%, are water. The township is drained northwards by tributaries of the South Branch of the Shiawassee River.

Indigenous peoples have inhabited the Americas for thousands of years.
